Play Based Learning

Play Based Learning
Playing is a great way to learn. The children in Room 12 have lots of opportunity to work together to problem solve, create and experience a lot of different activities. These sessions are giving us the chance to talk and discuss our ideas with each other.

We have been doing lots of practice throwing and catching a variety of balls.
We know that we have to have our hands ready and watch the ball with our eyes.

Autumn Fun
Rooms 12 and 13 went for an Autumn walk to Fairfield Park. We looked at all the beautiful colours, created sculptures with leaves and got to throw and roll in the leaves.

Maths with tens frames and numbers

We had to put the number of yellow counters on the tens frame to show the number we had in front of us. Then we put red counters to show how many more to make 10.

Discovery Time

We have had so much fun during Discovery Time.
Look at what we have been up to....

More fun with No Child Left Inside

We have had some more sessions with No Child Left Inside.

We have been practicing our catching.
We used some really cool balls that had a parachute attached.
